And here's another fun German engineering question. Why can I only have one parking light work by turning my headlight switch to a certain position? Or is something wrong with my headlight switch?
Those are standing lights for marking the roadside limits of the vehicle when parking on the side of the road. When you park on the right side of the road, you would turn the light switch all the way counterclockwise to turn on only the left parking lights. When parking on the left side of the road you would turn the light switch one notch counterclockwise from vertical to turn on only the right side parking lights. Less battery drain this way (only one side parking lights and no instrument lights) and lets other drivers know that you are parked. Mark
