That's some pretty clever attempted misdirection, counselor!

The issue regarding the NBP case was not that criminal prosecution was passed on by either Bush DOJ or Obama DOJ, both did! The issue was that after the Bush DOJ perused and virtually won a default judgment the civil prosecution was significantly curtailed by the Obama DOJ for no apparent or seemingly justifiable reason. The Obama DOJ argument is that it was within their discretion and that's what they decided, the Obama DOJ has virtually stonewalled any inquiry as to the decision making process that led to the absolute minimum sanction against the single defendant. The US Civil Rights Commission has been the only entity thus far to investigate the matter, the DOJ Inspector General has announced an investigation that will theoretically encompass some aspects to the NBP matter, when the control of the House changes hands in January there will likely be a more in depth and thorough look along the lines of "what did X know and when did X know it"!
