What happens if reverse is improving. Is that a bad sign? And if its slipping, should it engage at all? Because it feels more like its having a hard time engaging than slipping. Once it catches I can drive in reverse all day long.

Anyway, I do minimize backing up. But its not as bad as it was at all. And the sound is not coming from the trans.
