Dropped drive shaft and marked it but did not pay attention which side of the bearing support faces the front, any help would be appreciated.

Also, isn't the large nut on the drive coupling be not so tight as this is a "sliding
connection" so as to speak as both ends of the drive shaft are "fixed".
