Yup it is. Do you really think a husband or wife gets to keep from their spouse money they earned while married? Maybe in entitlement world people get divorced so they can have a bigger welfare check, but in the real world a married couple's finances are joint. Perhaps you may in the future understand "small things" like that actually make a difference.
