Again, she paid for it. Would you refund her for it? When an employer has to hire someone, they typically count everything in it. IOW, you want more benefits, you get less wages. You can't (at least not as far as I can see) have both.
What's your point? The money is co-mingled and therefore, it is the same thing. Pretty much so would be the answer. If I got a credit card tomorrow and maxed it out, my wife is also responsible. If she wins the lottery tomorrow, it is also my gain.
So let me understand you. I cannot get out of it and I have to pay into it. If I criticize it and say it is a bad plan, I cannot take what I paid into it out without being a hypocrite? So, who can criticize it? Except if you are fabulously wealthy and can write off what you put in?
