Wouldn't that also fall under the same lines? After all, I would find it hard to figure out a way to separate the money when both put it towards common causes in a marriage. I'm trying to understand how he figures out that this is my money and my benefits and those are your benefits and that is your money.

He seems to think that what the husband brings into the marriage in terms of money and benefits are not common property and therefore not as though she earned it. The way I see it, the more he brings in, the more she benefits and vice versa.
