I just watched this, not as indepth as I'd hoped but some interesting things.
I would recommend this if you are at all interested in the environment.

We recycle only 22 % of the plastic bottles we use. A company they interviewed that converts them to polyester for various products, imports much of their supply.

There are huge floating waste clouds in the oceans, one estimated to be larger than the contenental US. So much as it washes ashore, eventually, many beaches are becoming plastic sand.

OK I am anal about recycling, I even disassemble things to seperate the materials.
I do sell some to the local recycling centers (Dang 20 years ago I wanted to start a company doing it).
We often do not put out garbage for the weekly pickup, always recyclables, yes there are just the 2 of us.
