Just joking. I think that I've found the source of the vacuum woes on my 1999 W210. I was experiencing a long delay in actuation of the trunk lock. Yesterday I opened the rear passenger door just after unlocking and I hear a very substantial hissing, likely due to a loose vacuum fitting. Either that or I need to call animal control.
