By speakers, do you mean external speakers that plug to the speaker jack in back?

I may just get a new CPU. Current one is a P4 3.2 HT. I'm looking for something that is affordable yet faster and better. Should I get Pentium D or skip that and get a Dual Core? Would either with a speed of lower than 3.2 be better than what I already have?

Forgot to say that that my newe MB recommends a power supply rated at 500W and my current power supply is rated at 450W max, Could that be the issue?
