I'm sure this technology would only be usable in good weather. Rain and snow would disrupt its optical sensors.
That is a huge consideration, though. If people become to reliant on this technology, use it when they shouldn't, and someone gets killed, whose fault is it? I can't imagine the liability an autodrive system would put on an automaker that builds them.
