Hi Folks,

So I've had this 220 Diesel with a wrecked engine (OM615 right?) in storage for forever, and am just now getting around to doing something with it. What are my engine options? I have heard here before that a 123 engine will not drop in. I've got a good head, but a bad lower end (I think the crank is broken) so I am guessing my options are a 2.2 engine, maybe with a cracked head but good bottom end, a W115 2.4, and there's a few W115 300Ds running around right?

This car is an automatic, btw.

Thanks, we are really hoping to get this car back on the road with a minimum of fuss - hopefully just a straight engine swap and off we go.
