My past with Bosch rebuilds have always been good, that's why I specified Bosch to him. He stated that he has experienced a few defective Bosch units recently. Maybe they are sourcing to a lower cost rebuilder...

Just got the car back. New starter(rebuilt), new bushings. The new bushings are nylon like rather than the rubber units replaced. The front bushing was only 1/2 there and the back bushing was intact, but with oval shape. He had to take the shifter arm off and heat up the nylon units to press them in.

Now it starts as it should. Whether P or N.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions. Otherwise, I would still be underneath looking.

Next job, exhaust manifold gasket replacement... got a little ticking coming out of number 4... It just never ends.

Thanks, especially to Gilly.
