A long time ago (13 years?) I bought an Olympus C2020 Zoom digital camera. For it's day it was a pretty good camera, with 2 mega pixel resolution, LCD on the back, etc. Earlier this year I decided that it was the third, unneeded digital camera hanging around, and I donated it to Goodwill.
THE VERY NEXT WEEK I happened to be cruising through some camera forums, and found a discussion of how certain digital cameras are actually quite sensitive to IR. All you have to do is put a certain filter on it, and it blocks visible light and admits the IR. Guess which camera is the no-holds-barred champ of IR conversion? The Olympus C2020 Zoom, of course!

Since then I've wondered whether a digital camera setup per above would be useful in certain diagnostic situations.
