Bundt lugs are longer and have a smooth roundish face. Steel wheel lugs are about 1/4 shorter and have a small indent in the face(some may have a MB star in the indent).

they were all the same for both cars. My confusion comes from that!
this clears it all up, they were all bundt lugs, on both cars with the rounded end. Whatever oddness there was is on the 240, which is now a parts car, so I can relax knowing there is not some issue I need to resolve with the parking brake on the 300D.
Time to grind them down for the rear
