I'd be a little worried. some of these IP's are fed off of the engine oil Circuit and they can seize up, I'd have it tested if possible. You can try it, but I'd be hesitant to.
Ips go bad, springs break, Racks seize up.. there's a lot of precision engineering in one of these things.
