Getting back to your original question re:
using a relay for lights. Not needed with stock wattage or 55/100W bulbs. Going more
usually would be advantageous to having a relay in the circuit. What most people overlook is the fact that a relay helps the
+ side of the circuit and never thinks of the ground side. Make sure you have a good
ground and increasing wire size also helps.
As yhey say, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
