dealership charges $800 a hydraulic ram/cylinder. This is because they cannot use rebuilt parts due to their franchise rights. So an R120 has 12 of these things and its best to replace/repair all at once.(I'm going to rebuild all 8 in the cabrio over xmas break). When I had to go get fluid for my top hydro system there was an r129 in the shop getting all 12 done.. I told the parts guy the owner of that R129 better love that car to be willing to drop $10k+ to replace all of the top hydraulics.

the hydraulics that are leaking in my car are the easiest to get to but its only $40 per to rebuild and I only have 8 so I might as well just do all of them for piece of mind. I knew it was going to happen.
