This morning, I decided to get myself some footwell heat, and restore the heat to my buns.
For the flap, you've got two options: Take out the coin and pen tray from under the steering wheel, fold down the black cover and snake a wire hanger roughly 8 inches through one of the vent holes on a black tube, or stick it down the long way maybe 2 feet all the way down the black tube from the access hole on the side when you open the door.
I took out the tray and cleaned it all off, I forgot I had a grey interior
Now, the heated seat was an animal of its own. I dont know about anyone else, but under my seats is a rats nest of cables. the heated seat cables are two pronged, maybe an inch wide, and have a plastic guide rod attached to the side to ensure proper installation into the socket. It took me FOREVER to find where they connect, as I was getting heat only to my back, so I pop the seat up and look around, and its because the connectors are HIDDEN under TWO layers of carpet; the one held by springs that you see with the seat all the way back, and a folded flap close to the door. Snake your cables forward, connect and boom, heated seats fully operational.
Whole process took me an hour (I cleaned that tray for a good 35 minutes alone); hope this helps someone else out there.
