The only thing I like about the G is the solid feel. Other than that I can't stand them. The doors are hard to close, the steering sucks, they ride like crap, and the reflections from all the flat glass makes driving at night an exercise in distraction.

Yeah, I know all about the legendary off-road capbility, but so what? If I need to cross a river, or climb a mountain, I'd rather destroy an old F-250.

I guess that puts me in the minority, but I'll take a GL over a G any day.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I agree with the post about the G55 being stupid. Every time I drive one I find myself wondering what the MB guys were thinking of. Then it hits me. There's definitely a market for those things in this country. I must be getting old.
