If the PCV circuit is plugged up with carbon, not allowing flow from drivers valve cover to idle air distributor, what sorts of problems could this cause?

I was bored and aggravated with my engine today so I removed, disassembled and cleaned the IA distributor and found not only the little orifice plugged, but the ENTIRE PCV hose and the valve cover end was full of milky oil condensation....
