sounds like a bad MC. brake fluid might be getting past the piston inside the MC hence the pedal to the floor part.

the slight decrease in brake fluid (over 9 months) might be just a secondary problem i.e. there is a leak but it is too faint to notice.

i think the main problem is a worn MC
