Go to the first page of the diesel discussion...there is a sticky for the vacuum lines. Usually the door locks and or the vacuum for the trunk or gas flap have leaks, if you can plug the line that "v's" off and goes to the door locks, this might help with the shut down, mine is plugged off and the shut down works now. A golf tee works well to plug the lines.
The door lock vacuum lines usually go into a plastic round piece that has 2 vacuum lines running off of it. Usually up near the brake booster close to the fire wall, mine is yellow. Plug that see if it helps, post back let us know what works
