I Have a 1982 380SE 126 series which slips on upshift between 2nd & 3rd gear. Is this a band adjustment or worn clutches or dirt in the control valve assy ?

On the same vehicle where is the idle control box ?

What causes the idle to periodically surge when the vehicle is hot ?
