For about a month now I'm running a restrictor as specified by garret, before that I was running without one. Without the restrictor I've have also done many 0 -top speed runs and didn't have any problem. Oil temp was ~100 degrees Celsius (~ 212 degrees Fahrenheit) on the last run. This Saturday I'll take a better look at the engine, pull the head, pistons etc for inspection , hopefully I'll narrow down the cause of the failure. The new m104 980 engine comes with an oil cooler which I intend to use.

Have another question for the boys with manual transmission, what clutch setup are you using in order to hold the power ? Since the clutch is out, I was thinking about a twin disk setup, or would a stock pressure plate with a 3 or 4 puck ceramic drive plate be capable of handling the TQ/HP ?
