Hope Everyone is O.K.

The first thing I did this morning was to test the vacuum going to the thermo valve - it was o.k. Then I hooked my Mity Vac to the line out of the thermo valve going to the vacuum unit (top back of IP). No vacuum out of that side while the engine was cold, and no vacuum up to around 85 degrees. Does this mean the thermo valve is shot? I have been having problems lately with the idle. I even screwed the vacuum unit in and out of the IP, but it didn't even change the idle. Anybody know what the problem is. I certainly would appreciate it.
