UH, I think it's safe to say that a begger has proven that they are unable to take responsibility for their own actions. If I think they are truly in need, I will feed them, but I will NOT trust them with money. They can very easily buy drugs or whatever with it.
Do I feel that people should take responsibility for their own actions? ABSOLUTELY! I take responsibility for my actions and that's why I won't give a bum money. What if he buys a bottle of Night Train, gets drunk and kills somebody? I don't want to have any responsibility for that. Do you?
If that bum gets a job and EARNS money, then it is HIS responsibility to do the right thing with the money.
Basically if someone is hungry, I'll feed them, but I'm not going to give them money.
