I think i left a tool under the hood and it closed but now it won't unlatch. Its my new 1987 TD . I pulled the hood release and had my kids stand on edge of hood above the catch to push it down as much as possible so the catch would release. I even pulled the cable from the red lever and pulled on it with pliers. No luck

Any ideas how to get it to release? Maybe have the wife stand on the hood?
