i would ask that you do some research on mr.wilson and his alleged expertise.

you might start with the "orange papers", easily found with google.

my own experience is that addicts are suffering from a variety of mental illnesses, usually because they suffered some severe trauma, and as a result are self medicating. sadly, all they usually get for treatment is twelve step mumbo jumbo. which "succeeds" only about 5% of the time... and the "success" is to term them into sloganeering cult members.
