An ASR problem? I sure hope not...

Happy holidays to all and hope those of you in the US did not eat yourselves into a 'food coma' on Thanksgiving!

Well, just yesterday I was out and driving across the parking lot of Sam's Club when I came to a corner where there was some ice that had formed overnight. As I was making the curve and rolling through the icy patch the car very briefly slid sideways (I mean, VERY briefly). I'm sure you have probably had this happen - you hit a slick patch as you are turning and the car slides momentarily until it hits the dry pavement and then all is well again.

I didn't think the first thing about it until I got back into the car to leave and as I got the car out on the road it seemed (and this is where I'm not real sure!) that I was hearing a slight "whine" coming from the rear end area!

The noise is still there today. Is this a symptom of something going on with the anti-slip system on this car. Any suggestions or comments? Thanks...
