I don't believe in band-aiding an engine. Either install a rebuilt long block, or live with more engine failures. BTDT in my late 20s.......

My idea of fun would be buying and keeping a 4-year old SL550 with less than 30K miles on it, and driving it when at my Gulf Shores, Alabama home.
