how does the fluid look and smell. changes the fluilded will not stop the leak,fix leak.
pressure cleaning the traine you can brake lose metal and the fluild has rubber in it helping it to work . cleaning and replacing fluild , can kill the traine metal in pump , the rubber help's the traines pump to work, if it is borderline. So you clean traine install new fulter, getting it clean inside and cleaning all the cooler lines.
An it only last couple of week's and traine take a dump. have had 2 chevy traines (R7 the over drive)the pump's housing where made of allum.[ so the magnets would not pic the metal out of fluild ]. know they have steal pump housing tranes] where in late 80 early 90 trucks .I had 2 cleaned by aamco, both never made 1 month,till traines went.
