Your 300D is a naturally aspirated 5-Cylinder diesel with an automatic transmission with around 80hp. Mercedes Diesels from that era, and many years onward, are know to be robust, consistent, reliable automobiles and rack up the miles; 300k+ is a common sight.

Mechanically, its hard to judge the condition by work that was done six years ago, especially since it hasn't been run. Consult an independent mechanic who specializes in vintage Mercedes-Benz.

Cosmetically, Rust is the most common killer of these cars and will probably determine most of its value.

give the classic center a call and give them your VIN, they'll be happy to tell you what options the vehicle originally came with and maybe some original owner information: http://www.mercedes-benz-classic.com/content/classic/mpc/mpc_classic_website/en/mpc_home/mbc/home/classic/classic_center_usa.html

hope this helps
