The dash glow plug indicator light on my '83 240D has begun not to "go out" after a few seconds. I turn the key after an appropriate period and the car starts and runs fine, but the light in the dash won't go out. Car was serviced about a week ago.

Is this a sign of something serious? Is it OK to use the car normally until I can call my mechanic on Monday?
