Thanks for the info. I put in almost 2 gal of dextron lll. The book says it needs 1.93 gal. The stick shows 1/2 way between the 2 marks. There are no driveline noises that I can hear. In any gear the engine revs freely above 3500 rpm - thats as high as I went. And lastly I believe the trans is back in correctly. It slid in to the alignment pins easily, the flex plate bolted to the converter, the cooler lines are on, the shifter is on and working properly, the reverse light wire is on, the P N start connector is on and working - only starts in P and N, vacuum line is on, and flex disk is bolted on. I'm not new at working on cars, just never had a trans problem before. In my youth (60s) I drag raced a 64 FI Corvette and a 650 BSA Hornet motorcycle so I have lots of wrenching - doing engine rebuilds on them and other cars over the years. I'm sure I put the trans back in correctly. Thanks for the attachment and the info on idle pressure.
