Tell me why I shouldn't...
Divorce my wife, have her ask for no alimony and then become a welfare recipient. Four families live on my block with the gov paying the rent/utilities for single mothers who choose to have at least 5 kids, they get "free" money for food in food stamps and at school, have a "free" cell phone and, well the list just does not stop. I'm hard pressed to pay the mortgage and bills and they live nearly the same life and kids go to the same schools while paying nothing. I even have to buy the school supplies for them- directly- (school supplies are to be bought and brought to school to share with everyone in the class- if you cannot afford to buy them, then those that can are required to share their supplies). I could buy a house and rent it to her and we'd live together as a family but have the govt pay for most everything instead of me doing it. Do you have a good reason other than guilt I shouldn't do this? Our family would live a much better life with the money we'd save and be able to spend on shoes and chess matches and educational items for my boys.
