If you go to a paint store they should have the old school steel paint can openers. They look like a yield sign with small upturned hook at the end. You will need to file the hook/blade down a mill or two and you will be good to go. ohhh... and the bonus is, they have built in bottle opener in them to celebrate a job well done.
