My dad had a 71 or 2. He loved it. They are cars which handle surprisingly well if you push them. At moderate speeds you think they handle like a like aged American sedan but push them and they dig in.

They are extremely simple and robust. The only real weak point is the electrical stuff. Some is bosch which is excellent but some is Lucas. There is also IIRC a fuse which if it blows you lose your spark. I had a 76 Volvo and had the fuse blow in traffic in West Lafayette one day. You learn to keep a good supply of fuses with them.

Nice cars. Mechanically as strong as a benz but electrically not so.

That push rod engine has enormous bearings which if you keep the oil changed you will never wear out...and the cam is gear driven.

Keep fuses handy though!
