Concerning police reports being the 'ultimate authority' concerning insurance claims, here's one for the record books. A few years back I was at the stealership and ran into a woman who shared a story concerning an accident she had been involved in. She said some a** had rear ended her. Before the cops arrived, the guy who hit her hopped out of his car and went over to some bystanders who had witnessed the accident. He offered each bystander $20 to tell the cops a lie concerning how the accident happened. Since the wreck occurred in a seedy part of town, the bystanders took him up on the offer. When the cops arrived they listened to the lies and then wrote the VICTIM a ticket. Unfortunately, she accepted it and when I met her she was paying the price (literally).

She was a senior citizen and obviously the guy who hit her saw an opportunity to take advantage of her.....
