Once again, Half-Governor Palin has clarified the issues for us. This tragedy is really about Sarah Palin. I hope the President remembers that when he speaks in Arizona this week.

I wonder whether she knew what "blood libel" means. By now, at least, I am sure that she knows that it refers to the anti-semitic notion that Jews kill children to get their blood to use in religious rituals. I think it would be better if she had not known that and simply thought it was a nice-sounding phrase, sort of like "refudiate," which I admit sounds like it should be a word. If she knew what it means and used it anyway, then her statement is really whacked.
