More importantly without any spending cuts, in fact the future budgets are limited to a 2% INCREASE. So they can spend away again.

Save your breath -- there's always that one in a hundred that's just not going to get it. IL residents are OVERWHELMINGLY opposed to this increase. There are always going to be the folks who are just anti-tax, period, but even when you dismiss their opinions, it was an incredibly unpopular move.
I have already stated that the bills need to be paid, and that I could understand a modest increase to take care of that. I'd expect the IL pols to have the sense to limit spending, too, though. Instead, they allow for increased spending. Par for the IL course.
We are the laughing stock of the nation. Watch the news; it's pretty brutal. To be expected, given our leadership, though.
