This is somewhat old news. The Humvee has been in production for about 25 years and is being replaced with a stronger truck.

But the old Hummer is not going away. Worn out and shot up ones are shipped to the Red River Army Depot in Texas and rebuilt. When they come out of the shop they look and run better than when they were new.

Every part of the depot that has a road through it has Hummers parked everywhere, and those jobs are going to be around for a long time.

I think the new truck is to be built by Oskosh. Their truck will also replace one that was built by Steward and Stevenson outside of Katy, Texas.
