I don't know if it would attract sharks directly but it would certainly bring them in to the squid and baitfish that would be attracted. We used to use a squid jig at night to catch squid for bait for tuna. They'd be attracted to the light from the tower lights. The sand sharks would be cruising through looking for a highlighted meal.
