You also can't be rational with folks that think that some laws, BECAUSE THEY THINK THEY'RE NOT HUMANE ENOUGH, should be ignored.
Whereas, the PROPER THING TO DO would be to try to get the law changed. Usually, electing the proper people to do what you'd like them to do. Or, running for office, getting in and trying to get the law changed. Or even better yet, understand the reason for the law and get over the fact that sometimes you can't alway get what you want. (I remember a song with that phrase in it...

But ignoring the law? Tell me how that works for you the next time you're taking your turn at a 4-Way intersection and the guy, coming from your right side doesn't feel like he has to stop just because he feels his destination and time is more important to get to than anyone else, at that moment.
Logic sucks, for some, when it works.

Simple logic is even more frustrating.
