crank position sensor
It might be the crank position sensor. If it hasn't been changed in the last 100K, you might as well change it anyway.
I just posted my fix in the SL forum. Remember I'm talking about the crank position sensor and not the CAM postion sensor. It's the single wire plug (look up what the sensor and plug look like on Fastlane) that comes from the Ignition Control Unit (EZL) and either goes to front of the engine (next to the fan) or goes to the rear on the edge of the bell housing. I've forgotten how it worked on my TE's. Locate it, pull the whole wire and sensor out to inspect and clean the tip well (if you're not going to replace it), put it back in there and screw it down snugly.
