It is the 97, no SLS. I assumed it was the PS pump, and it was a bit low. I sucked some fluid out and replaced to fill line. Still had the noise. ( dang it!) Also had indy check the trans with their universal dipstick ; it was a qt low. Still ahd the noise. ( never 'heard" a trans pump before, so it was a long shot)

But the gerotor type sound ( just like a PS pump thats low/dry) can still be heard in the cabin.

More importantly, good news on the valve cover noise. Its LOUD in there.

No oil leaks at all. A slight coolant leak I am chasing around.
