when i drive my baby (1987 420sel) the heat does not come on right away....

so, initially changed the blower and the porcupine...then i got airflow

now, there is a switch next to the rear defrost (i think it is for recirculated air) that goes click click click along with a red light indicator....when this happens it cuts off the airflow .....

does this sound like anything anyone else has seen? if so, would a faulty water pump be the culprit....
