No, it's not a combo. It's a full-flow unit. It measures 3 1/4" in diameter by 4 9/16" tall. It comes with a big O-ring that looks a lot like it's about the same size as the one that goes on the housing cap on my 617.

Going by the picture, it's not for a 300SDL. I did a search on Fastlane for a filter for an '80 280SE, and it looks enough like this one that it's probably it. So, I'd guess that speedy's right. Want a nice Hengst 280 oil filter as a prize?

I guess I'll put it in the Parts classifieds...thanks!
