Hey everyone! I just got back from a 500 mile road trip in my 240D with not so much as a hiccup. I was fiddling around with it today and got under the hood and pulled the accelerator mechanism (the thing with the 'stop'), and heard it whine when it hit a high RPM (???), then looked down by the canister fuel filter and saw a long bolt + washer hanging out completely loose!

Pics below. I'm dying to know what happened and what that is??? Also any idea about the whine?
