Front sway bar bushings were incredibly simple on my 89 260E. Even without any experience, it is about a 30 minute job.

The bar is not under tension. After you unbolt the brackets that hold the bushings, the bar simply drops out.

The real challenge was cleaning the dirt and grime from under my fingernails when done, so I suggest rubber gloves.
